O GUARDIÃO DA LEI.
REFLEXÕES ACERCA DA SEGURANÇA PÚBLICA.
RESUMO – O artigo analisa a função do guardião da
lei, trazendo a baila uma reflexão acerca da segurança pública e do papel do policial. Defende a promoção de uma contínua formação profissional dos agentes públicos, objetivando a conscientização de sua função de garantidor de direitos na sociedade. Deste modo, abarca questões tais como valorização profissional e auto-estima, para a concretização de uma segurança pública sana.

SUMMARY - The article analyzes the function of the guard of the law, bringing a reflection concerning the public security and of the paper of the policeman. It defends the promotion of a continuous professional formation of the public agents, objectifying the awareness of its function of guarantor of rights in the society. In this way, it brings questions such as professional valuation, for the concretion of a public security guard sound.
